Vermeer Corp. and the U.S. Composting Council (USCC) are teaming up to give organic waste recycling companies a complimentary one-year membership with the purchase of a new qualified Vermeer horizontal grinder, tub grinder, trommel screen or compost turner. A membership to the USCC provides organic waste recyclers access to valuable educational resources and training, networking opportunities and better visibility within the compost industry, Vermeer said.
To qualify for the offer, equipment purchases need to be made by Dec. 31, 2019.
“In recent years, there has been tremendous growth in the composting industry, and the USCC is an important resource for anyone getting into the market, as well as recyclers that have been composting for years,” said Jay Sarver, commercial business manager at Vermeer. “The council is the authority on the industry’s best management practices and can help companies become a reputable compost producer as well as improve their efficiencies.”
Linda Norris Waldt, USCC’s sustainability connector, said the partnership with Vermeer will help further grow and promote the compost industry.
“Vermeer provides machinery to many organic waste recycling facilities who are looking to grow their operations and expand into new markets,” she said. “Through this partnership, we can help those recyclers by introducing new ways of recycling.”
Qualified Vermeer equipment includes models TG5000, TG7000, TR5300, TR521, TR620, TR626, HG4000, HG6000, HG6000TX, CT612, CT616, CT718 to receive a 2019 Bronze USCC membership.
